I arrived in lovely downtown Bethel around 4:30 PM for the 2024 Limp Bizkit Loserville Tour. The 3-and-a-half-hour drive included a stop for an early dinner at the Mainline Diner, where I went with the Spicy San Francisco Wrap: a lovely grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, and mayo wrap.
By the time I got to Woodstock
Since I had some extra time, having already secured my concert tee and safely secured it in the truck, I decided to visit the on-site Woodstock Museum. I had been there before, but with some free time on my hands, I figured I’d go again. This time, it was free because I was attending the show?—unlike my previous visit when it cost $22.
While it’s not a large museum, it’s certainly worth a visit if you’re interested in music history.
Here’s to the Losers
After my saunter through the museum, I headed into the venue to catch the openers, specifically Corey Feldman; I wasn’t too aware of the others – Riff Raff (Spotify), Bones (Spotify), or N8NoFace (Spotify). But I mean, come on, Corey Feldman doing music? It seemed like a trainwreck of an idea, so I HAD to see it.
The whole show is emceed by a guy who goes by Naked Giraffe. The tour is advertised with Riff Raff (Spotify) as the MC, but not this evening. (He did show up later and lip-synced some of his songs from he crowd.) Naked Giraffe’s obvious role was to keep the crowd engaged during set changes. He accomplished this by interacting through all areas of the arena, including the crowd and the lawn.
The Comeback King
My man Corey hit the stage with his best Michael Jackson impressions. I wasn’t disappointed. It turns out he has three albums dating back to 1994, who knew? I just couldn’t take him seriously, It was hilarious to me. Maybe not what he is going for, but the tour is called the Loserville Tour so…
The Others
Next up was N8NoFace, a synthpunk one-man show, featuring just him, a keyboard, and a mic. He ran around the stage like a madman while singing. In my opinion, he was a bit ridiculous, making it difficult to take him seriously as a musician. Leaned Loserville for sure.
The only real openers to take seriously ended up being Bones, Eddy Baker, and Xavier Wulf. They were rappers, with Bones being a bit dark and repetitive. He just wandered around the stage hidden behind his hair and waving a black towel the whole show. Like trying to be cool, it was not. However, Eddy Baker and Xavier Wulf were certainly the most talented of all the openers. Eddy hails from Ontario, California, and Xavier from Memphis, Tennessee.
Based on Spotify monthly listeners: Bones at 6,310,290, Xavier Wulf at 5,012,532, Eddy Baker at 810,537, N8NoFace at 72,844, and Corey at 20,810.

It’s Just One of Those Days
Limp Bizkit took the stage at 9:30 PM, for the 7th show on this 2024 Loserville Tour. Opening the evening with “Out of Style,” a tour debut, and the only song from the new album, “Still Sucks“. My vote would have been for “Dad Vibes” or maybe “Turn it up, Bitch” but hey you get what you get.
They then went right into “Rollin’,” from the album, “Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.” One of the eight songs for the evening that was pulled from this album.
Fred focused on 1999 throughout the show, referencing it and “partying like it’s 1999” several times. He even asked if anyone had plywood, alluding to his plywood surfing at Woodstock ’99 before it was used to set the place on fire.
While “Chocolate Starfish” may be Limp Bizkit’s most commercially successful album, “Significant Other” tracks “Nookie” and “Break Stuff” elicited the most fervent reactions. “Break Stuff” was played twice a night on this tour. The crowd jumped up and down in unison during “Break Stuff” both times.
There was no mosh pit for this show, and Fred acknowledged that this wasn’t acceptable, promising to change it the next time they were in town. During the song “Full Nelson,” Fred invited several children onto the stage for the song. A common theme of many of the recent shows I have attended.
Fred delivered a high-energy performance with his usual sense of humor and free-flowing style. This was my first time seeing them and I would certainly catch them again. Definitely one of the best shows I’ve seen in a while. It was so enjoyable that I considered going to the show two stops later at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA.
I hit the road at 11:30 PM and got home at 3:00 AM.
