OPERATION:Mindcrime – The Final Chapter

Wednesday night in Boston, Geoff Tate commanded the stage with the same fire that made Queensrÿche legendary. Performing Operation: Mindcrime in its entirety, the setlist unfolded like a rock opera, each track building the story of revolution and betrayal.

The crowd roared during “Revolution Calling”, the anthem that still feels as urgent today as it did in 1988. “Speak” and “Spreading the Disease” kept the energy surging, while the haunting “Suite Sister Mary” showcased Tate’s theatrical flair and vocal range.

The emotional peak came with “I Don’t Believe in Love” and the closing “Eyes of a Stranger”, both delivered with soaring intensity that had everyone singing every word. Beyond the album, Tate treated the audience to Queensrÿche classics like “Empire”, “Jet City Woman”, and the timeless ballad “Silent Lucidity”, before closing the encore with “Take Hold of the Flame” and “Queen of the Reich”.

The Wilbur’s intimate setting amplified the experience—every lyric felt personal, every riff hit harder. It wasn’t just nostalgia; it was proof that Tate’s voice and storytelling remain as powerful as ever. Particularly after recently seeing David Lee Roth perform past his vocal prime, Geoff has lost nothing in his voice as the two video clips below of “I Don’t Believe in Love” and “Eye of a Stranger “show.
